Terms of Service

Interview Station is an independent practice tool that runs timed spoken practice interview stations with an AI interviewer, to help candidates rehearse for medical school admissions interviews and specialty training selection interviews. It is an independent, Australian-operated service ("we", "us", "Interview Station"). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any university, medical school, specialty college, or selection body, and references to any interview format or institution are for description only.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Interview Station. The service is intended for people preparing for medical school admissions interviews and for doctors preparing for specialty training selection interviews. It is not intended for, or directed at, the general public seeking medical information.

You sign in with a magic link sent to your email — there is no password to protect, so keep your email account secure. Your account is for your own personal use and is not transferable or shareable. Running someone else's stations on your account, sharing login access, or creating multiple accounts to extend free trials or evade limits breaches these terms and may result in suspension. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

New accounts can run a small number of practice stations free, without providing payment details. Beyond that, continued use requires an active paid subscription to one of our plans.

Plans and quotas.Each plan includes a set number of practice stations per month and is described on our pricing page before you subscribe. Opener drills count as a fraction of a station, as described there. Once a plan's monthly allowance is used, you can buy an optional top-up or wait for the allowance to reset at the start of the next billing month.

Payment and renewal. Subscriptions are billed in advance through our third-party payment processor (Stripe), which handles your card details — we do not store full card numbers. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. Prices are in Australian dollars and, where applicable, inclusive of GST.

Cancellation and refunds. You can cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us; your access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew. Except where a refund is required by law (including under the Australian Consumer Law), fees already paid are non-refundable, and we do not provide partial refunds for unused stations or the unused part of a billing period.

Changes to pricing, inclusions and features. We may change our prices, our plans, the number of stations included in a plan or purchasable for a given amount, the size or price of top-up packs, and any other feature or functionality of the service, at any time and at our discretion. We may also add, alter, restrict or withdraw features. We do not need your permission to make these changes.

Where a change affects an active subscription, we will give you reasonable advance notice before it takes effect, and the new terms apply from your next billing period — so you always have the chance to cancel before being charged under changed terms. Changes never alter what you have already been charged for the current period.

Every question, scenario, interviewer reply, and marking comment is generated in real time by third-party artificial-intelligence models and is not written or reviewed by a human interviewer before you see it. AI systems can and do produce content that is factually wrong, outdated, incomplete, or fabricated ("hallucinated"), can mark you unfairly, and can mishear or mis-transcribe your spoken answer.

Nothing produced by Interview Station is medical advice, clinical guidance, careers advice, a reliable statement of fact, a guarantee or prediction of any admission or selection outcome, or a statement of what any university, medical school, or specialty college actually asks or wants. It is not a substitute for the institutions' own information about their processes, or for in-person mock interviews with people who know them. Verify anything factual you take from the service against authoritative sources before relying on it.

You accept these risks. By using Interview Station you acknowledge the nature and limitations of AI-generated content described above and accept that you use the service, and any information it produces, at your own risk.

Interview Station is an educational tool, not a medical device, and using it creates no professional, clinical, or advisory relationship between you and us. Where practice scenarios touch on clinical situations, they are fictional practice material — never guidance for the care of any real patient.

You agree not to:

• share, resell, or provide access to your account, or use the service on behalf of anyone else;
• scrape, copy, or systematically extract the service's content, or use it to build or train a competing product or dataset;
• attempt to bypass fair-use limits, security, or access controls, or interfere with the service's operation;
• use the service unlawfully, or to generate content for any purpose other than your own interview preparation.

The Interview Station platform, its design, software, prompts, and its AI-generated content belong to the owner or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own interview preparation while your account is active.

Your spoken answers and any feedback you submit remain yours. By using Interview Station you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process and use that content to operate and improve the service, and — on a de-identified basis — to develop, train and evaluate AI models and to create and licence de-identified datasets and models, including datasets and models that represent how candidates reason and communicate, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your choices and how that data is handled are set out there.

"Interview Station", its logo, and its brand are trade marks of the owner. You may not use them without our written permission. The names of universities, medical schools, specialty colleges, and other organisations referred to on the service are the trade marks or property of their respective owners; we use them only to describe what the service helps you prepare for, and their use does not imply any affiliation with, or endorsement by, those owners.

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features — or the whole service — at any time, and we don't guarantee that the service will always be available or uninterrupted. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature, we'll give reasonable notice. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any unavailability of, or change to, the service.

Interview Station is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is accurate or fit for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated content, and our total liability to you arising from or in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Your consumer rights. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability for breach of such a guarantee can be limited, it is limited (at our option) to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us for any loss, claim, or reasonable cost we incur arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your use of — or reliance on — content generated by the service in a way that causes harm to you or anyone else.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms — in particular account sharing, misuse of AI-generated content, or abuse of fair-use limits — with notice where reasonably possible. You can stop using Interview Station and ask us to delete your account at any time; see the Privacy Policy for how.

Interview Station is operated from Australia and offered to candidates preparing for Australian admission and selection interviews. Prices are in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise. If you use the service from outside Australia, any non-excludable consumer rights under your local law are preserved. References to any university, medical school, specialty college, or selection process are descriptive only and imply no affiliation or endorsement.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally. If you use the service from outside Australia, you are responsible for complying with your local laws.

These terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours — including to a related entity or a buyer of the business — without reducing your rights.

We may update these terms as the product changes. If we make a material change we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, email you directly. Continuing to use Interview Station after a change means you accept the updated terms.
